How to Continue Your Last Game in No Mans Sky
Now that the latest No Man's Sky update has brought many new players into the fray, most find themselves a little confused. So here are the most important things you need to know how to do.No Man's Sky is an open-world survival game that is unlike any other. It combines hundreds of thousands of different planets to keep your gaming experience exciting and unique. However, it doesn't have to be played alone anymore, especially with the addition of cross-platform and the Space Anomaly.
Due to all the new fantastic updates, many new players and fans are finding it challenging to do certain things, especially since some of them are definitely over complicated. Nevertheless, once players get the hang of taming mounts, upgrading ships, and, most importantly, saving the game, then it's a wonderful game to pass time whilst being able to explore galaxies from your home.
10/10 How To Save
In most games, this is a no brainer, you either press pause and the option's there, or it simply autosaves. But nope, No Man's Sky just has to be different. Luckily there are actually 2 different ways to save when traversing the universe.
The first is the ship. Once the player has completed the tutorial they will find themselves in a broken-down ship which, once fixed, will take you where you need to go. Simply enter the ship then step out of it to save the game. It's recommended the player do this regularly. The second is building portable saves in your base. It only uses 2 Metal Plating and 1 Di-hydrogen Jelly and is easy to use, but most useful to always keep one in your inventory.
9/10 How To Get A Freighter
This really comes a lot later on in the game but having a Freighter can change your experience instantly since it's just such a useful ship to have. However, they aren't that easy to come by, and it's certainly a waiting game.
Perhaps the easiest is to warp a few times until you find a freighter then wait by it until Pirates approach and attack the freighter. It's important to not hit the freighter since it could cause them to think the player is also attacking. Once you've saved the freighter, they can enter the ship and get it off the captain. The second is to buy one. The player must find the freighter and offer to buy the ship from the captain. However, this is certainly not cheap and probably best to just wait.
8/10 How To Trade Ships
This one is essential. While most players do get attached to their broken little ship that they spent ages fixing, they will still find themselves needing one with more storage room or upgrade space.
These upgrades can be found in any space station. Just wait where your own ship has parked and spoken to the lifeform standing by the ship you want. Once you speak to them there will be an option to make an offer on the lifeforms ship. It is super important that before buying you clear your old ships' inventory, including technology or it will disappear once you trade. Also remember to have some money on you, buying ships isn't cheap.
7/10 How To Make Money
For pretty much anything in No Man's Sky you need money, and most of the time people are so interested in gaining materials that they never end up making any. Whilst there are a considerable amount of ways to make money, some of the best ways are rather unknown.
It should be noted that this one can prove to be deadly but look for Whispering Eggs. They will usually be around an abandoned building and once the player breaks one to reveal a Larval Core, around 10-15 cosmic horrors that can pack a punch if you don't hide at the top of the building. Nevertheless, at 90,000 credits each, these Larval Cores are a quick way to make money but grab them fast because they can disappear before you know it.
6/10 How To Upgrade Suits
There are a few ways to upgrade an Exo-suit, but it can ultimately change your gaming experience for the good. Especially with all that extra space for materials and technology.
Whenever the player enters a new space station there is the option to pay for a slot, as time goes on this can get extremely expensive but is a great way to grab that extra slot just when you need one. The other way is with Drop Pods which can be found by using a Signal Booster and Drop Pod Coordinate Data. These allow the player to gain a new slot just by fixing the Drop Pod. A little extra work but much cheaper.
5/10 How To Find Buried Technology
Buried Technology can be extremely useful to most players, especially the ones that enjoy building cool bases and interesting objects. However, they aren't always the easiest things to find.
Nevertheless, once you get the hang of it then there will be absolutely no trouble finding them. So long as you don't exhaust them on the plane you're exploring. To find them the player simply needs to walk around the planet looking through your Analysis Visor. Then use the Terrain Manipulator to dig down.
4/10 How To Solve Secure Site Puzzles
These aren't the easiest to solve in the world but most of the time all they really need is a little bit of thought. Or a Google.
Whenever the number puzzle comes up all that needs to be done is find either a pattern or numbers that haven't been used yet. The word ones are a little more challenging and sometimes require a search engine, but most of the time it's just what feels right.
3/10 How To Tame A Mount
It sounds awesome to do but it's definitely one of the more time consuming and more challenging ideas that players have. It requires bait, creatures, and a Nutrient Processor.
Once you've found 10 Salvaged Data to get a Nutrient Processor blueprint, you must construct it then find the right advanced bait for the creature you want (it will say once the player looks at the creature in the Analysis Visor). Once you've created that bait, find the creature and feed it. Just use regular creature bait to keep their attention, then use the advanced bait to win them over.
2/10 How To Get Around Faster
This may sound simple but stamina and jetpack durations are the bane of players' existence. But no more! There are some rather simple upgrades to help you speed around, as well as an awesome bit of machinery.
The main two bits of technology players need are the Neural Stimulator and the Efficient Water Jets. They'll both improve the players' jetpack and movement speed and will also help you out on certain missions. The last way is to get an Exocraft. This awesome car is customizable and the player can summon it on command. All that is needed is to complete the mission Expanding the Base, this will reward you with a speedy and efficient Exocraft, just don't forget fuel.
1/10 How To Get Quicksilver
Since the update, Quicksilver has become a new type of currency that is rather challenging to get hold of.
However, once players find the right place to go, they can get loads of Quicksilver to help get a variety of items, emotes, and more. All players need to do is get onto the Space Anomaly and speak to the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion. They must then complete missions to gain this currency.
